Freight Deliveries: For larger items like kilns, pottery wheels and other equipment, freight shipping is utilized. Your contact number will be shared with the freight company. Once your order is en route and has reached the destination, the freight company will contact you to coordinate a delivery timeframe suitable for you.
**Please be sure that your shipping address is reachable by freight. Can a Semi-Truck access your street? If the answer is no, you can select another delivery/pick up address.
Should you be unreachable for more than 5 days, the order may need to be returned to the manufacturer or held for storage. In such cases, any additional charges incurred, such as storage fees or extra shipments, will be your responsibility.
If you have travel plans scheduled, kindly inform us, and we'll work with you to arrange shipment after your return.
To ensure smooth delivery, please notify us of any unavailability to receive your order. Failure to inform us may result in a reshipment fee if the package needs to be returned.
Shipping Speed: The arrival date displayed on our product page is informative and not guaranteed. While we strive to deliver as per this date, unforeseen events beyond our control may impact timing.

For freight deliveries, appointments are mandatory. Until the carrier schedules a delivery appointment, please refrain from making arrangements with third parties such as contractors or movers.
We cannot be held responsible for carrier delays or missed appointments. However, we're committed to assisting you to ensure timely delivery or facilitate communication with the carrier.

Damages: Upon receipt, inspect your items for any damage, particularly for freight shipments. If damage is observed, refuse shipment and document the damage. Photos should be sent to hello@modernpotters.com for insurance claim processing.
Cancellations: If you would like to cancel a (ready-to-ship) order, please email or call our customer service team immediately to avoid return shipping fees.
Cancellations received before shipment will receive a full refund.
Orders canceled after items have shipped will follow our 30 Day Return
policy and will be subject to return shipping costs.
Made-to-Order Item Cancellations: For orders that include made-to-order items (eg: not in-stock kilns, most of our kilns are made-to-order), there may be an additional fee from the factory to cancel your order if production has already begun. In this case, we will do our utmost to negotiate a reasonable cancellation fee. Notify us of cancellation within 48 hours of ordering to avoid cancellation fees.
